ORGANISATIONS THAT WE SUPPORT
The Arts Society High Weald are proud of their ongoing association with both Romney Marsh Churches and the Cranbrook Museum. In our charitable status, we are pleased to make regular donations to these worthwhile organisations to support their valuable work.
Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust
The various Romney Marsh Churches are both incredibly old and very beautiful. The Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust, the charity that looks after their fabric has many calls on their funds. As a Society we have enjoyed several guided tours of different churches and learnt so much about their individual, fascinating histories. If you do not know them, I urge you to explore them. The Cranbrook Museum
Cranbrook Museum, in the heart of Cranbrook welcomes visitor to the many rooms in their premises, displaying artefacts from bygone eras. They allow the viewer to build a picture of life in and around Cranbrook throughout history. In addition, the Museum has gathered together paintings by the ‘Cranbrook Colony’ depicting local people and local life. This is an important collection and one worthy of our attention, notwithstanding the fact that the greater majority of the paintings are held at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
